making meetings meaningful
Many of us have become familiar with the frustration of attending a meeting that could have been an email.
This is just one blatant example of the variety of ways meetings and gatherings often feel unfulfilling, frustrating, or even unhealthy.
This workshop is designed to engage participants in reflection about how meetings can be structured in ways that do justice to the precious and at times messy experience of working with other people together toward a common goal.
This workshop is intended for people who facilitate or participate in meetings.

about the facilitator
Steven Tatum (he/him/his) is fascinated by how the stories people tell shape and reshape the ways we experience and act in the world.
He has pursued this curiosity in his work as a high school English teacher, first in his home state of Vermont then in Hartford, CT, where he has lived since 2018.
Steven is a lifelong learner, partner, housemate, brother, son, friend, musician, listener, and tea drinker. He loves spending time outside in every season.
